Badlands
Song by Aketous ‧ 2026
The sun is setting red on the desert sandI’m running out of time in this hollow landWe were dancing at the cantina, just you and meThinking we were safe, thinking we were freeThe tequila was sweet, the night was youngBut the heavy shadow of the past had just begun
Mi amor, hit the floorYour ex-boyfriend walking through the doorThe air turned cold, the room stood stillAnd I knew then he was out to kill
He’s got blood in his eyes and a gun in his handI should have never crossed the border into his bad landYeah, he’s hunting me down, he’s screaming her nameI played with the fire and I’m losing the game
Oh, the bad lands
I scrambled through the window to the dusty streetSearching for a miracle in border town heatThe engine’s screaming, the gears are tightHeading for the desert in the dead of nightHe’s coming in hot, he’s losing controlTrying to put a bullet in a prospective Sancho
Mi amor, hit the floorYour psychopathic boyfriend walking through the doorThe lock clicked back, the trigger pulledEverything I built is starting to fold
He’s got blood in his eyes and a gun in his handI should have never crossed the border into his bad landYeah, he’s hunting me down, he’s calling her nameI played with the fire and I’m losing the game
Just one night (Just one night)One wrong turn (One wrong turn)The border is a ghostAnd the bridge is burnedI’m pushing the limit, I’m feeling the stingI don’t know what tomorrow is gonna bring
He’s got blood in his eyes and a gun in his handI should have never crossed the border into his bad landYeah, he’s hunting me down and I’m right in his aimI played with the fire and I’m in his aim
Crossing over (Bad lands)I’m never looking back (Bad lands)Just keep drivingAdiós, mi amor
