For context, I was going to release Aketous – GOLD in 2027, but I felt like I really wanted this to be the final Aketous album, so I decided to release it just a few hours apart from Ulterior Motives to sort of bridge the gap of returning to releasing music under my name again. I feel like I was able to explore enough under Aketous. I will still release individual tracks under Aketous but, I feel like it was such a great run of amazing songs, that it should be honored with a happy ending as opposed to becoming stale. It’s best to leave at the top than to wither in my opinion. Same thing goes for my music in general. If I can’t create in my mind, a better album than the Ulterior Motives or maybe not better, but something that excites me the way it does, then I will just stop.
