I met Jerry at a Grammy event back in 2009 (or late 2008). I had no idea who he was at the time or how many of my favorite artists/songs that he helped get airplay until much later. All I know is he was very nice, super upbeat and was really interested in having me meet some of his people based on simply meeting me once. For some reason he seemed as though he knew me for years. Maybe he assumed that simply by me being at this particular event, I was okay or something? Or maybe since I was the only one that had no clue who he was, I didn’t give off DESPERATION vibes. I don’t know/ Regardless, at the time I sort of blew it because, I really didn’t want to go do a bunch of the stuff that HAD TO BE DONE, like meet people at parties and LOADS of charities (most I had ZERO interest in being involved with). And simply, I had lost the opportunity to promote another single from PI because I only wrote 3 songs for “radio” and I subsequently blew up my Clear Channel BOOST (another story) after my dad passed away. So along with that, I probably missed a great opportunity to work with someone that could have taken my music to places I had never dreamed of. Or maybe not. WE WILL NEVER KNOW. And I don’t care. I’m still on schedule with my JOURNEY. But as far as my encounter- what nice guy.
