There’s a genre of music called “sad girl pop“???

Thank God my generation had female musicians like Tina Turner, Aretha Franklin, Belinda Carlisle and Pat Benatar (etc). Not a sad girl in the bunch!

Teen suicide became an epidemic about the same time “sad girl pop” came on the scene a few years ago. But, what do I know, I’m neither a girl- nor sad. I do know that I made a commitment to trying to make people happy- not sad.
