I like people have gone off the deep end with the gated institutional narratives in LIFE. My tolerance for FAKE is SO very LOW. I’m not ashamed of my mistakes. Not all of them were profitable- outside of learning what NOT to ever do AGAIN, but I am awakening to being OKAY with DARREN FARRIS- the man. The rapidly aging man who still feels like he’s in in Ms Mosier’s lit class. It’s not 1988 and and I’m not DEAD yet.

Had great brunch with M and my 3 girls. Got a lot of cool gifts for Father’s Day. I feel bad for people trying to buy me a gift, because I am changing a lot as I edge ever so closer to FIVE O and my interests seem to be reverting BACK to catching up with some things I put on HOLD while I was being a house dad for 23 years. David Hasselhoff sings the theme to The Young and the Restless (Nadia’s Theme) live on Merv in 1977. Before Knight Rider and Baywatch made him famous he played a doctor on the soap opera “The Young and the Restless.” Merv Griffin had over 5000 guests appear on his show from 1963-1986. M gave me part of my Father’s day present today. For me Father’s day is a moment to just concentrate on my girls and how much becoming a father has forced someone with an EGO the size of Texas to LIVE for someone else. I have given my girls the freedom to just be WHO YOU ARE.
The jury is still out. Let’s see what happens. Happy Father’s Day to…Read More1 Comment -

If you know me, then you know I HATE re-recordings. There is NO good rerecording! Not even ONE!
I do like remasters- when they leave the original studio ideas in place.
All re-recording should be MELTED though. ALL OF THEM!

I checked off a bucket list, life experience item this month. I don’t want to say that it didn’t live up to my expectation, but I do think I was late to the game on this one. Some things just aren’t as exciting for a house dad about to turn 50, as a guy who is single with no ties.

People are more and more unable to find MEANING in life. I see it in music, media, culture, the streets… This is sad and completely avoidable. I am thankful that I am not part of this emerging VOID, but it disturbs me greatly. If people could just shut down MEDIA and turn on LIFE again- that would be a great START!
