I am halfway through listening to Jackie Blue for the first time as a whole work since we had it mastered. I really feel like this is probably going to be the best album I have ever recorded. It may be even better than the album I’m currently working on. I’m going to really have to step it up on my writing to top this.

I have ZERO intentions on using a promotion company. IF I DID sink 200k into promotion, I hear at least 5 top 10 hits on this one.

Btw I really had to constrain myself and keep this album at 14 tracks. I really wanted to put Everything Is Now on there, but it really needs to stand on it’s own. I just love it that much. It has really helped me work through so much.

Darren Farris
Just here for the free stuff...
I should say something about myself here. Maybe later.
My name is Darren Farris not Darren Ferris ...not Darin Farris...not Ferris Buller ...not Bobby Darin ... not James Darren ... not Darren Hayes ...not Darius Rucker ...not Darrin Stevens ... not Darren Criss and not Dionne Farris.
Just getting it out of the way.
I really fell like Jackie Blue is the logical follow up to Rubicon. I still had some lingering angst from Back This Way because I just love that song so much and I really wanted to continue that theme. I think We Are Forever helped me close that thought and helped me lead into some more playful stuff like Badlands.
