This could be one of the most UNCOMFORTABLE rock legends interviews I have ever seen. The interviewer is soooo tone deaf. The funny thing is by this time Bob Dylan had sort of left the plantation on “pop music political orthodoxy” by then and was exploring rationalism. At the same time Carlos Santana was being even more radicalized by all the racial politics in South Africa, etc from that period. I think the interviewer had no clue what he was doing or how much these men had changed by this time. It was like watching fire and ice try to be polite with an big ass.
