I made friends with a couple of drunk guys sitting next to us last night. I don’t drink, but I really enjoy hanging out with drunk dudes at a rock concert. I enjoy hanging out with drunk dudes in general. Am I a bad dude like Cornpop?

People get really interesting to me when they are JUST OUT THERE HANGING BY A THREAD of sanity. You have got to come to edge of the cliff and SURVIVE to be a /master/ at almost anything.

I thought this was a nice shot. Brett Michaels is a genuinely nice guy. You forget what an insane string of hits they had until they miss one! But each band did about an hour and half.

Yes, the songs I post are by design. My life has a soundtrack. Music I listen reflects what I’m thinking about or maybe an old haunting memory. Sometimes something that used to haunt but now I find comfort in letting it go.

If you have lived in L.A. as long as I have (nearly 30 years) this almost makes you want to cry. What the hell happened? Wilshire is FAR from this now- and has been since I first came to L.A. in the 90s. One thing I thought was funny, is the “bomb shelters for sale” billboards. #BitterSweet

THE RUIN
(loose translation/interpretation by Michael R. Burch)well-hewn was this wall-stone, till Wyrdes wrecked it

Summary
“The Ruin” is an ancient Anglo-Saxon poem. It appears in the Exeter Book, which has been dated to around 960-990 AD. However, the poem may be older than the manuscript, since many ancient poems were passed down orally for generations before being written down. The poem is an elegy or lament for the works of “mighty men” of the past that…Read More

This song reminds me of Auby. She just turned 13 and she is coming out of her childhood cage. There’s a summer place
Where it may rain or storm
Yet I’m safe and warm

Your arms reach out to me
And my heart is free from all care
For it knows
There are no gloomy skies
When seen through the eyes
Of those who are blessed with love
And the sweet secret of

I have learned over the years that everyone has a journey they take. If you ask for advice, I may do my best, but I think it’s best when people find the answers themselves. It is defiantly more meaningful when you walk your OWN path, even if it is a bit crooked and rocky.
